This weekend we have been getting our family back on the fitness and whole nutrition train. Ben has stayed on board, running marathons and training for a triathlon (many of our travels are planned to coincide with his races). Once upon a time, I was a personal trainer… for ten years! I haven’t been training clients or teaching group exercise since we moved to Berlin about a year and a half ago, and my own fitness routine has plummeted big time because of it! I could really tell a difference during my pregnancy with our fourth child and in the months following his birth. Achy joints, poor spinal alignment, and low energy are the things that ailed me the most. Now that I’ve finally gotten my footing in life with four kids, I’ve recommitted to our old lifestyle of daily fitness and only keeping sweets in the house for celebrations (like the Valentine party we have next week! It’s okay to just send the sugar home with other people’s kids, right?)
Why am I telling you this? Because we want to know if you’d like to see fitness and wellness posts here on our new site. I used to blog workouts and parenting information on another site, which I closed a couple years ago after growing bored with it and lacking the time and energy it took to keep up with it while homeschooling and parenting little ones. I’m slowly republishing some of those posts (like this one about using a BOSU) on Niume. That all being said, would you be interested in connecting with us over healthy living posts?
