I’m an avid essential oil enthusiast and our family has been using Young Living Essential Oils for some time now. In March, Young Living offered an oil promo to their countless faithful subscribers when they ordered their wool dryer balls. I kid you not, those things sold out in a matter of hours! Seriously, they sold out about 15 minutes before I even read about the promo in my newsfeed. BUMMER!
We have been committed to the non-toxic lifestyle for nearly a decade, and I can’t even remember the last time I used a harshly fragranced, chemical-laden dryer sheet. When we moved to the UK five years ago, I started using dryer balls. Why? Because European dryers take FOREVER to dry clothes. I’m all about hanging things to dry, but it’s awfully nice to have fluffy towels fresh out of the dryer! Wool dryer balls are especially great, because they absorb moisture, are naturally flame-resistant, remove static, significantly cut down drying times, and they can be used over and over again. Plus, they are super cost-effective.
What you need:
- 100% Wool Dryer Balls- I bought this pack of six on Amazon.
- Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils of your choosing- I chose Lavender and Lemongrass.
Add 2-3 drops of essential oil to each dryer ball. Place three or four dryer balls in the dryer with your laundry on a low to medium heat setting. Enjoy your soft, fluffy laundry with a naturally fresh aroma!
These are great for traveling as well. We often do laundry when we are traveling, since we like to pack efficiently (and… four kids. I’m sure you can imagine!). The dryer balls can simply be placed in the suitcase, which also keeps clothes smelling fresh. Dual purpose!
